All is going well! We are eagerly awaiting our wood stove from Navigator Stove Works. We decided that we wanted to have a wood alternative for those times when we don’t have batteries and or a greenhouse to help keep us warm. It is a pricey item but it should pay for itself since wood is free to us and propane takes actual money instead of sweat. Although, the cost of the stove would buy a lot of propane for us, it makes us nervous having to rely on power to have heat. If we have a spell where there is no power for an extended period of time and I’ll use the Tornadoes in June and Hurricane Irene as examples, we could be in a dangerous situation during the winter. It is worth the peace of mind, knowing we can still be warm and even have warm meals without power at all.
More on this when it arrives… it will be the cost of the stove and eventually several parts. Stay tuned and we will show you how we decide to handle the installation.
