We have a wall space that would accommodate a 32 inch television wall mounted next to the refrigerator hood. For a while we were thinking we didn’t need or want one but we realized that our Nintendo Wii was sitting forlornly in the roof locker. We are debating size, wall mount, Roku, LED vs LCD, smart tv, vibration resistance.
The heat load of the LCD eliminates that option immediately. We went to a local big box store and put our hands on actual units and the LED ones were significantly cooler. One of my issues with having a television at all is the snaking of cables causing a messy cluttered look and the dedicated use of our outlets. I really would prefer not to need power strips and all the outlets taken with the entertainment center. We also have cell phones, a laptop and other tools and such that need charging. This is something we have been really looking into. We don’t have the extra capital to purchase this luxury item but would like to have what we want picked out so we can request gift cards when our family asks us what we would like for one holiday or another. What we have decided that we want a 32 inch flat screen LED but beyond that nothing has been settled. Tidy, clean, less cables the better will get my vote!
