1973 Airstream Argosy 24ft

We brought the Argosy to our friends house to work on it while we handle some work. It is awesome to have some help. Everything is going quickly. We removed the original interior a few days ago and were able to use their garage to pile and clean the original interior parts. Shanna rolled out Kilz oil based primer while I was chopping out the floor. The wood sub floor slides under the walls into a 2 inch channel and is structural to supporting the walls. We used a large wedge under the plywood and then some ratchet straps to bend the board. It needs to fit under the walls and is bigger than the interior space.

The vent plumbing and tank will be reused but maybe reconfigured. You can see the interior stacked in the garage out the back window of the trailer.
We cut out the punky soft wood and installed foam insulation in the belly. The plywood we cut to patch the floor needs to bent to fit into the space and hammered into place. After it is in knocked into place, we will peel back the bottom half of the walls and insulation to bolt the wood through the frame.

Floor patches are painted with Kilz too. I love the clean bright space. The bright white really makes a difference. The furnace and water heater have been set back into their original location as place holders.
Ooops. Look what didn’t get cleaned or prepped.
