Fixer Upper – Yard work, Curb Appeal

Our 1979 31ft Airstream Sovereign has sold. We delivered it to Texas for the buyer that flew in for a day to see it in person. It was bitter sweet. The house has been an expensive frustration. All these projects cost money and time. Andrew and I are frugal by nature but it has been an expensive transition. We need to buy a few bits of furniture for the house since we no longer have the trailer, After delivering the Airstream to the new owners, we detoured further out west and spent a few days wandering through the red rock moonscapes. It was a nice time and we were full of refections on how much our life has changed in the last two years. I think we both miss our Airstream life.

We returned to the Fixer Upper and were talking about what cheap and easily completed project to tackle next. The warm autumn weather has enticed me to add a little curb appeal to the front of the house. I actually really don’t like gardening so I want to make sure everything we do keeps the gardening to a minimum. A little investment now will hopefully make the house look occupied but won’t add to much additional yard work.

Closing day
Lola loves the black ground cover warming her old bones.
Pine mulch!
We have this carport and a bonus room with a concrete floor. I am not sure what we are going to do for tool storage and such. The previous owners used the back room as a garage if the copious amounts of oil in the slab and abandoned engine stand are indications.
