1977 Airstream Argosy Motorhome – Seats

The motorhome seats were a smelly blue crumbling foam mess. They had the old lap belts with no shoulder straps. Andrew started scouring Craigslist for seats removed from a car with built in shoulder seat belts. We found a set of leather seats with built in shoulder straps that had been removed from a Trailblazer. We modified the seat base a little to bolt it to the rv swivel seat base. The driver side seat is powered and I am excited to see if we can make that work. It is right next to the battery box and I am hopeful that eventually it will fully function.

Andrew’s 93 year old grandmother wanted to test the seat out for as while we were tinkering. Gram visits us for a month during the winter. She loves to hang out while we are working on our Airstream projects and watch the progress.
