1977 Airstream Argosy 20ft Motorhome – Polishing

I have been procrastinating doing some engine and running gear work on Dream Boat. In the time of COVID, I am suddenly without a work schedule. I should really be able to put in some time on the Airstream fleet and our neglected house. Working nights and sleeping all day has really messed with our ability to get things done.

I used Nuvite C buffing compound, wool buffing pads and a Dwalt buffer.

Dream Boat looks like a scabby foil wrapped burrito
Dreamy’s back end looks all streamlined with his LED tail lights. I prefer this sleeker look to the stock look.
He is getting less scabby. I often use a Harbor Freight buffer but I burned mine up. They don’t last forever and that doesn’t bother me. For $30 they are significantly lighter weight compared to my Dwalt. If the Harbor Freight buffer dies while doing an Airstream, I can usually return it within the return timeframe. This only is doable if I haven’t sucked the cord into the buffer by accident. I am in quarantine and have been sick. The stores are closed. I have been using the significantly heavier Dwalt. I can’t feel my arms but I like the final results better.
Whirly and scabby but looking more shiny

I am looking swirly and a little funhouse mirror.
