1977 20ft Argosy Motorhome: Exhaust Repair

Dream Boat has an exhaust that is full of pin holes and rust. It needs to be replaced. I drove all over with our old exhaust looking for muffler shops or mom and pop places that could weld me a new setup. Only one place was willing or able to do it and they required that we bring Dreamy over to be worked on. His exhaust was already removed and hasn’t been able to successfully drive to the gas station 2 miles away. Andrew called Summit Racing and they walked us through and emailed us a link to a shopping cart. It was incredibly easy and we will save a little money by doing this ourselves.

This is the rusted mess we removed and is the rebuild template for the new system.
Andrew starting to lay out the pieces for each side respectively.
It was a little tricky to align everything with on this side with the brake line in the way but Andrew was patient and we worked it out.
I sprung for the “quiet” oval mufflers. I was told they were a 3 of 10 in volume. So, hopefully my neighbors don’t hate me. We will see.
Hangers and clamps are going to be installed next now that it is all based out.
Plug and play fitment off the manifold.
Rainy and cold but we want to make progress while we are able.
Chrome downward facing tips! I am hoping it will send the rumbles down and away,
