1977 Airstream Argosy Motorhome – New Suspension Parts

I took Dreamy out for a spin and every time we hit a bump or went around a corner there was this mushy feeling. It felt like we were going to fall off the road. The steering was sloppy and had an unresponsive lag. After some investigation, we realized the airbags in the front were dry rotted and shredded. We ordered new suspension parts. It was easy to order the parts because Chevy P-30 parts are easy to source. Hopefully, this will improve the steering performance and get rid of the falling off the road sensations. I am hoping that this is an easy fix.

old vs new
These were another bolt off and bolt on kind of upgrade. Andrew and I wrestled them into place and used the jack to get them up and compressed into place. This task was pretty uncomplicated but laying on the ground under the motorhome is always a little unpleasant.
